A Few Things I Learned at the Opera Last Night

It is a bad idea to throw a masquerade party if you have enemies who want to kill you.

If you are hiring a personal servant, find one who looks kind of like you and wears the same size clothing.

If you are a personal servant with a similar-looking boss, make sure there is a way to quickly establish which of you is which when you wear their clothing.

Any sentence sounds impressive when translated to Italian and sung in 4-part harmony.

Some days the only thing I have to look forward to is to see what's new on your blog. Often there's nothing new. Please keep it up, think of your public.

Dear Anonymous Reader,

While I have long assumed that some people looked forward to my postings, it never occurred to me that there are days when for at least one of you it would be the only thing you would have to look forward to.

I will try to increase my frequency for you and I hope that my lamer postings fall on days when you've got an outing or something on TV to fall back on.
