Leuven: Spot the Workers

So far my experience is that Belgian workers do not seem to like being photographed. Perhaps they are self-conscious about their outfits.

I lived in Belgium from 1973 to 1975 (the year I graduated from high school). Are you going to visit Brugges too? The climb up the bell tower is worthwhile.

Well nobody will accidentally hit them. They are nice.and. visible.

I concur: anyone who hits them would be up for premeditated battery. No way one could claim, "Jeez, I just didn't see them there."

Julia: We had planned on a Brugges trip but are having enough fun in Leuven. Even if we make it there, Manon's broken foot precludes a bell tower climb.

Chelle and Dana: I was thinking the same way, but then I started to wonder about the utility of the flourescent costuming. Could it be that clothing that garish would make the workers look more like road signs and less like humans, to the point that motorists paid less attention than they should?

Someone should do a study.
