For the next few weeks, I have a guest here at the Scrim Chateau. Lyle arrived this morning at 9am. While he has explored some areas of the house he has spent the bulk of the day behind the couch on the lower floor of the master bedroom.
I'm happy to report that just as I started this posting, he came out, allowed me to pet his back a little bit and then tentatively ventured into the hallway.
Lyle is a fierce explorer of the Glebe, so I'm sure he has not been staying behind the couch because of timidity. He must simply find it to be a comfortable spot to rest following the tiring car ride over this morning.
