Happy news for the Stick Library

A confidential source has informed me that because it is May 5 "Cinco de
Mayo", the Stick Library will be reopening today for the season.

As you can see, the stacks are in good shape.

The sticks are indeed in excellent shape! And I see that you have provided a wide range of lengths and diameters. But it seems to be a single tree species--is that correct? Does the Librarian curate for a particular type of stick? I am ignorant of such things, because my own specimen of Canis familiaris will only chase a ball, preferably the smaller diameter and felt covered type.

I am pretty sure that there are multiple species in the pile. The Stick Librarian has dragged home sticks from all over the neighbourhood. I, the assistant, brought home branches that fell off the oaks across the street, branches from next to the Hog's Back Falls, which I'm pretty sure were not from oak trees, and branches from a tree that a man with very impressive tattoos was trimming a few blocks away.
